Flavours of the World Market
May 26 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
An event every day that begins at 8:30am, repeating until May 28, 2018
Awaken your taste buds with Ely Markets’ Flavours of the World event. This special bank holiday market will bring together authentic food and gifts from around the world.
Our Flavours of the World market is inspired by the long tradition of trade between different countries around the globe. There’s so much to discover – we’ll have everything from authentic North African food to gorgeous olives and Baltic amber jewellery.
The Flavours of the World market will include street food and products from a diverse mix of countries. French bread, continental meats, Spanish paella and Turkish delight are just some of the food that will be available over the weekend.
We’ll have authentic food prepared by people from all over the world. Whether it’s freshly cooked garlic prawns, French patisserie or some wild boar sausage – we know you’ll find something you can’t resist.
As well as enjoying the delicious food on offer, visitors will also be able to buy beautiful gifts at the market.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to treat yourself or choose presents for friends and family. We’ll have beautifully scented French soaps from Marseille and exquisite jewellery – plus handmade garden furniture.
The Flavours of the World market will take place on Saturday 26 May, Sunday 27 May and Bank Holiday Monday, 10am – 4pm. On Saturday, the market will take place on the High Street, whilst the weekly Food and Craft market will take place on the market place as usual. On Sunday and Monday, the Flavours of the World market will move onto the main market place.
