Charlotte is nominated for the Young Person of the Year Award

Local girl Charlotte Page has recently won the award of Fundraiser of the Year by Young Kennel Club to which she is very proud of achieving.

This award now gives Charlotte the opportunity to win one extra award for which she needs the help of everyone around the Ely area. As well as Fundraiser of the Year category, four other category winners are put forward as “Young Person of the Year Award” and this will be announced at the final of Crufts in Birmingham on March 13th.

If Charlotte is to win, not only will she get the coveted award but a prize fund of up to £750 to further their opportunity to work and develop her love of dogs.

Every year Charlotte gives up her time to work alongside two shows – East of England CH Show and the North of England Dalmatian Club. Charlotte spends most evenings putting together the newsletter for the Dalmatian club and various other activities that these committees need help with. Whilst doing this she spends every year raising money for charity. Charlotte has previously completed a bike ride, walked up Ben Nevis and is now doing this year’s Virgin London Marathon raising money for Dogs for Good. Charlotte also raises money at her work by organising cake sales for various human and dog charities and raffles. Overall, Charlotte has worked hard to not only raise the money but to complete the activities she is a part of. Charlotte will make sure that the Virgin London Marathon won’t be the last ‘difficult’ fundraising task she intends on doing.
