After many years of being the heart of Littleport, The Plough & Harrow is set to make a comeback to the wonderful building on Ely Road.

Patrick & Carol Creek are the new owners and have begun on making major changes both inside and outside since GiGi’s and The Littleport Steak House closed.

Carol said, “We want to restore this back to being a traditional English Pub & Restaurant, a place for all the family and community.

“We’ve been out talking to local people and at their request we are installing a pool table and wheelchair accessible ramp in the front”.

While still working full time in London, Patrick is doing most of the renovation work and said, “We have knocked through the two rooms to make it much easier for people to relax in the bar before heading to the their table without going outside.

“We have also cleared out the garden area and plan to build a picketed play area for children. We also want to ensure we bring as much of the old style Plough & Harrow back and supply all the favourite drinks of the locals including real ales”.

The Plough & Harrow is due to open early July.

They have set up a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/thenewploughandharrow
