Rugby World Cup 2015Two local choirs are competing in a national competition which will hopefully find them singing on the official song of this years Rugby World Cup to be held here in the UK as well as the opportunity to sing on the opening day of worldwide viewed event at Twickenham.

At the time of publishing Rock Vox Choir are in 3rd place and followed closely by Sing! Choirs in 4th behind entries from Gloucester and Coventry.

In order to enter the competition choirs from across the UK had to create their own renditions of “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot!”, a song synonymous for English Rugby. They then had to record to video and upload to the “Every Voice Counts” competition page on Facebook run by England Rugby.

The winner of the competition is not necessarily to one with most votes but a panel will select the choir which shows the highest quality and creativity as well the likes and share famed by Facebook for passing content around.
