Selfless Sophia – the Ely schoolgirl featured on the front cover of our most recent E4Ely Magazine – has already raised more than twice her target to help youngsters battling with cancer.
As reported by Spotted in Ely, Sophia Isaacs, 10, is planning to have her luscious locks bobbed at the Pure Ely salon on July 2 to raise money for the The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment.
The St John’s School year five pupil was initially hoping to raise at least £100 in sponsorship for the charity – but thanks to people’s generosity, including that of Spotted in Ely followers, she has already raised £210 in less than a week.
When you factor in Gift Aid donations, the total is a staggering £252.50.
Amazing work Sophia!
