Oil & Gas Systems Limited seeks a Technical Assistant to work at its newly refurbished offices in Ely (close to rail station). Candidates applying must have previous experience of technical documentation.

LOCATION: Ely, Cambridgeshire

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, permanent

HOURS OF WORK:0900-1700 Monday to Friday

We are seeking a Technical Assistant to provide support in the preparation, modification, update and control of documentation related to Projects and Engineering activities.

Reporting to the Lead Project Manager, the Technical Assistant’s main duties include:
•Support Project Managers, Lead and Project Engineers with modification and updating of engineering and test procedures
•Cross-referencing documentation and drawings
•Updating project ‘Supplier Document Requirement Lists’
•Assist in the compilation of large multi-section documents, i.e. Data Books
•Updating Project document templates
•Assist in the preparation of Project Monthly Reports required for senior management
•Desk expediting of sub-vendor orders including documentation
•Preparation of standard company documentation
•Provide support to the Document Controller during periods of high workload and absence

Candidates applying will be proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel and will have experience of collating and producing technical documentation.

Any previous experience of using AutoCAD or of working in a document control role will be an advantage, though not essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude and be willing to interact and engage with all Project Managers, Lead/Project Engineers and Discipline Engineers.
