DESCRIPTION:The workshop is suitable for all ages (10 upwards) and is designed to teach a little history of shanties as well as having fun and singing along with some examples\nThe workshop will include a variety of activities including:\n• Illustrated talk on the history of the sea shanties & discussion on some of the relevant maritime language used on ships, and often used as part of the song lyrics\n• Investigation into writing modern shanties with a historic narrative, using one of Stuart’s own songs as an example\n• Analysis of different types of shanties with sung examples.\n• Joyous group singing of classic shanties\n\nThe workshop is led by Stuart Green from Isle ‘ave a Shanty\n(other members of the group may be in attendance if available)\nTICKETS ON SALE SOON NOW https://www.haddenhamartscentre.org.uk/…/workshop-sea…\n
