🥳 WARM HUB IS CONTINUING UNTIL MARCH 2027!!🥳
Exciting news!! Our very popular warm hub is now running until March 2027!!!
As we will continue running throughout the year, we will be changing the name from the Warm Hub to The Community Hub!
The community hub will run Thursdays 10am-12pm at Soham Town Rangers Social Club.
Everyone is welcome, so please do come along and help us spread the word!
We will still have tea, coffee and snacks available as well as different weekly activities such as seated exercise, bingo, quizzes, talks, demonstrations, games mornings and much much more.
This week (5th March) we have a seated exercise session!

The Art of Arriving comes back to Ely Museum 🌸
After our first Spring Saturday in February, when six women gathered for tea and calligraphy in that beautiful 800-year-old building, I’m excited to continue this series.
There’s something about practising ancient rituals in the Ely Museum. You can feel the room slowing down together. The wooden ceiling beams. The quiet. The sense of arriving, not rushing.
March and April bring two new practices:
🌸 Saturday 28 March, 10:30 am
KIRIGAMI & TEA
The art of folding and releasing through cherry blossom paper cutting. Spring equinox energy—letting go of what weighs you down.
🌿 Saturday 11 April, 10:30 am
HAPA ZOME & TEA
Botanical hammering on tote bags. We’ll work with local plants to create wearable prints—and practices you can take back into daily life.
Each workshop begins with a mindful tea ceremony (three seasonal premium teas), then moves into hands-on practice. Small women’s circles. You don’t need any experience at all. Just a willingness to slow down.
Book both workshops, and you’ll receive a tea & journal kit after each session—10g of seasonal tea and prompts to continue the practice at home.

]]> Selfmade Music is previewing Susannah Self’s fourth major new choral work, the Gloria, in a performance on Saturday April 11th, 2026, 7.30pm in Ely Cathedral’s famous Lady Chapel. It will be paired with Handel’s Dixit Dominus, a brilliant work written in Italy when he was only 22. In addition, Susannah Self’s radiant work for violin and strings, Harbour, will be given its third UK performance with soloist Kayla Nicol.
Directed by Dr Susannah Self, North Sea Voices and Orchestra are joined by top chamber choir Ely Collegium, and will give the first performance of this impressive new work. They previously premièred Dr Self’s other major choral works Sea Requiem (2023), Stabat Mater (2024) and Magnificat (2025), all in the Lady Chapel. The first was given a glowing review by Paul Conway in Musical Opinion:
“Sea Requiem was a substantial score, yet the material flowed naturally… the extended silence which followed this conclusion…. was a tribute to the audience’s rapt concentration and the cumulative effect of Susannah Self’s fervent, directly expressive music.“ -Paul Conway, Musical Opinion 2023
Admission to the performance in the Lady Chapel is £20 (‘Band A’, front section), £15 (‘Band B’, middle section) or £10 (‘Band C’, rear section). Seats are limited, so concertgoers are advised to book early to avoid disappointment, as Selfmade’s previous performances in the Lady Chapel have nearly always been sold out.
The official première of Gloria will take place on July 3rd at the West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge.

Exciting news!! Our very popular warm hub is now running until March 2027!!!
As we will continue running throughout the year, we will be changing the name from the Warm Hub to The Community Hub!
The community hub will run Thursdays 10am-12pm at Soham Town Rangers Social Club.
Everyone is welcome, so please do come along and help us spread the word!
We will still have tea, coffee and snacks available as well as different weekly activities such as seated exercise, bingo, quizzes, talks, demonstrations, games mornings and much much more.
This week (5th March) we have a seated exercise session!

We’re delighted to welcome Isle ‘Ave A Shanty back to Ely City Golf Club on Saturday 18th April for another fantastic night of music, food and plenty of sing-along moments.
This brilliant six-piece A Cappella harmony group from the Isle of Ely perform traditional sea shanties, folk favourites and even the odd modern classic with their own folk twist. Their live shows are all about fun, camaraderie and getting the crowd involved, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing along before the night’s over.

Exciting news!! Our very popular warm hub is now running until March 2027!!!
As we will continue running throughout the year, we will be changing the name from the Warm Hub to The Community Hub!
The community hub will run Thursdays 10am-12pm at Soham Town Rangers Social Club.
Everyone is welcome, so please do come along and help us spread the word!
We will still have tea, coffee and snacks available as well as different weekly activities such as seated exercise, bingo, quizzes, talks, demonstrations, games mornings and much much more.

One hour group sound healing meditation experience with magical meditative sounds lights and diffuser smells.
Sound healing uses instruments with specialised vibrations that create binaural beats which calm the nervous system and trigger the alpha brain wave state. In doing so this helps to achieve deeper and longer sleep and reduces cortisol levels enabling the body to self heal and calm over stimulation caused by stresses on the body.

Exciting news!! Our very popular warm hub is now running until March 2027!!!
As we will continue running throughout the year, we will be changing the name from the Warm Hub to The Community Hub!
The community hub will run Thursdays 10am-12pm at Soham Town Rangers Social Club.
Everyone is welcome, so please do come along and help us spread the word!
We will still have tea, coffee and snacks available as well as different weekly activities such as seated exercise, bingo, quizzes, talks, demonstrations, games mornings and much much more.
