Places of Poetry
Ely Cathedral invite you to be part of a national scheme called The Places of Poetry Project on Saturday 22 June.
Enjoy poetry, craft and live performances alongside our poet in residence, the Shetland based prize winning poet Jen Hadfield.
Jen, along with the Places of Poetry team, will be on hand to talk about the project and answer any questions you may have. You will be helped and encouraged to write a poem which can be pinned to our new digital map as part of a national scheme. A fascinating day for all ages.
Jen Hadfield is an award winning poet – Her first collection, Almanacs, won an Eric Gregory Award in 2003. Her second collection, Nigh-No Place (2008) won the T. S. Eliot Prize and was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Collection, and her most recent volume was Byssus (2014).
