Sketch & Social

We’re taking our most popular session on tour this month with a pop-up session at The Yard, Ely! This event is for anyone interested in sketching, meeting new people and trying something new.
To kick off our speed portraiture session, you’ll have 5 minutes to draw and chat with the person opposite you. When time’s up, you’ll get up and move along to draw the next person. The rest of the session continues like this, giving you the opppotunity to meet and sketch a variety of people in the room.
5 minutes is a great amount of time to loosen up your hand if you’re not a confident portrait sketcher. Over the course of the session, we’ll build up to 10 minutes sketches for more detailed portraits.
The session will start promptly at 6pm – make sure you arrive early enough to grab a drink and a seat! We’ll be taking a break halfway through, to allow everyone to grab another drink and some delicious food from The Yard.
As always, anyone is welcome at Sketch & Social – whether you’re a professional artist or a complete beginner. Please make sure to bring your own materials (i.e. sketchbook and whatever you like to sketch with).
