Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing Adventure Training Camp 2021
Here is a report from Corporal Polly Nickless of 1094 (Ely) Squadron:
“Last week Cadet Warrant Officer Donoghue, Cadet Western and I attended the Beds & Cambs Wing adventure training camp in Windermere at one of the two National Air Cadet Adventure Training Centres.
It was an amazing camp with so many exciting activities and challenges including, mountain biking, ghyll scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling and lots of fun walks in the breathtaking hills of The Lake District National Park!
My favourite activities were rock climbing and the fell walking. Which involved us hiking up Cumbrian fells such as Helvellyn and The Old Man of Coninston. Both of which I am keen to do more of in the future
I would definitely recommend this camp to everyone to attend in the future owing to the variety of challenges and activities, also the views are well worth the effort!
I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the staff for giving up so much of their time and looking after us and making the week so enjoyable and exciting for the 21cadets from across Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire who attended”
