1094 Squadron Visit Flight Simulator Centre

Well what a fantastic day we had on Sunday 16th February at the Sim2Do Flight Simulator Centre in Mildenhall.

1094 Squadron has been collaborating with Sim2Do and the Aviation Charity BeeFutureAviators to encourage young people to pursue a carreer within the Aviation industry within one of the many disciplines such as training to be a pilot, an engineer, or an air traffic controller.

With that in mind Ely Squadron set a competition for it’s cadets to create a model to illustrate an aircraft’s controls.

Today those cadets selected received pre-flight briefings on navigation and air traffic control before getting behind the controls of an F35 Lightning Stealth Fighter, a Boeing 737, a Lynx Helicopter and two Cessna light aircraft flight simulators as well as manning the simulated air traffic control tower.

Thank you to Karim Atta Captain at Qatar Airways and founder of BeeFutureAviators for funding a whole days simulator instruction as well as Sim2Do for offering our cadets such a unique experience and the opportunity to be mentored by:

Sim2Do offer one off flight experiences and pilot instruction, fear of flying courses, virtual private pilots licence courses as well as preparation for commercial pilot selection tests.
