10is Academy Men’s 1 opened their LTA National League Regional Division 2 with scintillant win for their first match against Cambourne 2.
On Friday, 10is Academy lost their number player, Toby Huffer due to injury.
Despite not having Toby present, 10is Academy secured a 4-2 victory.
In the singles, 10is had three victories Captain Sebastien Scaux comfortably won 6/1 6/0, Tom Shackleton 6/1 6/3 and Jordan Timson 6/1 6/0. Joseph, new to the team had a nervous match and was the only single defeat for 10is Academy.
In the doubles, Seb and Tom won while Jordan teaming with Joseph couldn’t deal with a very experienced pair from Cambourne.
The next 10is teams in action are the 12U boys at home (King’s Ely) at 3pm against Peterborough TC and the 9U mixed at 1pm also at home.
