10is Academy showed their strength in the opening matches of their Cambs summer campaign, winning three out of four matches.
Despite a tough loss and the injury of a key player in their first match, 10is Academy bounced back with impressive performances in subsequent matches.
The men’s second team faced a tough 3-5 loss to Needingworth in their opening match of the Cambridgeshire summer league, with in-form player Richard sustaining a knee injury. However, the team showed their resilience in the following matches.
The team redeemed themselves in the National League Division 2, with a 4-2 win against Cambourne 2 at home. There were some strong performances from Captain Max, Mish, Ed, and 16-year-old Sam.
The men’s first team dominated in their Cambs league Division 6 match against Newmarket 3. The home team put up a dominant display, with all four pairs winning in straight sets. The players showcased impressive skills and tactics, consistently placing their shots and serving effectively to keep their opponents at bay. It was a complete team effort, with each player contributing to the comprehensive win. The result puts 10is Academy Men 1 in good stead for the rest of the season and highlights their strength in the league.
In the recent National League Division 1 match against Cocks & Hens, 10is Academy’s Men’s first team showed tremendous resilience and perseverance. Although the team initially struggled, being a set down in all four singles matches, they refused to give up and fought back with unwavering determination. Rhys, Seb, Tom, and Jordan delivered outstanding performances and won crucial sets, turning the game around. After six intense matches, the score was tied at 3-3, leading to a nail-biting 10-point shootout tiebreak. In this high-pressure situation, Seb and Jordan kept their cool and displayed remarkable teamwork, ultimately emerging victorious. Their incredible efforts and impressive teamwork resulted in a well-deserved win for the 10is Academy Men’s first team.
Reflecting on the matches, the team captain expressed his optimism and praised the team’s solid performances.
In the junior section, Oskar’s exceptional performance was a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by both the young player and the coaches at 10is Academy. Oskar’s run to the final at Framlingham showcased his improving skills and his ability to compete at a high level.
Beyond the junior section, 10is Academy has been performing well across all age groups and levels.
