On Friday May 16th, in St. Mary’s Church rooms, Ely Rotary Club held a Quiz night. There were 10 teams taking part: Baby Bank, Barton Road Mob, Daft as a Brush, Ely Rotary Club, Hereward Rotary Club, Inner Wheel, Jam Tarts, NSPCC, Desert Storm, and Ever Hopeful.
With Quiz master Phil Smith in charge, there were six rounds with 10 questions in each including such topics as Music, Pictures, History and Geography, Food and Drink and Pot Luck. The winners were the Barton Road Mob.
It was a very successful evening and included a raffle. drinks and a fish and chip supper prepared by Ely’s own Tristan Griffiths. The proceeds will go to the President’s chosen charity: the Baby Bank.
