Once again, G’s Open farm Sunday was a huge success with even more people attending this year than in past years.
The day, designed to give an understanding to farming especially on such a large scale certainly provokes a positive response to one of the areas leading employers.
Many of the stands and shows are from G’s themselves however they call upon their suppliers and customers to come and display their wares and show off their skills within their own industries.
Nicola from Adamson and Low demonstrates what happens to trees that have been buried for years (aka Bog Oak) and how they use it to make stunning furniture.
Sainsburys, Tesco & Waitrose were giving away products where the ingredients start at the farming establishment.
Kids got to ride in trucks and tractors as well witness what happens to our soil within the area.
Our Mayor, Cllr Liz Every was also in attendance taking a look around at all the stalls and displays as well helping judge competitions and drawing winners from various raffles.
