Babylon Gallery Nominated for Best Arts Gallery in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire Award

Ely’s riverside gallery has been nominated for the “Best Art Gallery in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire” Award, in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2021.

The team at Babylon Gallery have asked for local support by casting your vote for the gallery, which is run by arts charity, Babylon ARTS.

Chief Executive Claire Somerville said “We’re delighted to have been nominated for this award. As a small team, we strive to showcase a diverse and exciting range of work by local, regional and national artists, including those from traditionally under-represented groups. We would be elated to have our hard work recognised by winning the Award, especially after the challenges
over lockdown.”

Supporters can vote for the Babylon Gallery by visiting the Muddy Stilettos website: https://cambs.muddystilettos.co.uk/nominate/art-gallery.

Babylon Gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm to 4pm with free entry. The current exhibition is Edge of the Fens, which features textile and painted works by four local artists, inspired by the fen landscape and is on from Thursday 17th June to Sunday 11th July.
