Be the first to drive over the New Southern Bypass as date is announced

Cambridgeshire County Council has confirmed that Ely’s Southern Bypass will now be open to traffic on October 31st 2018.

The long-awaited opening of the £50 million project can’t come soon enough for many drivers who are constantly stuck in traffic trying to get into Ely via the crossings near to the station.

While you can be one of the first to drive over, you certainly won’t be first to cross the bridge as this Sunday see’s the MacMillan Walk Across the Bridge from 9am. See that story here
