Four senior Ely Air Cadets received a very special delivery in the post last week.
All four received personal invitations to attend Buckingham Palace to be awarded with their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards. All four young adults and their parents will then attend a Buckingham Palace Garden Party.

It’s one thing to achieve your Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award but to complete the triple and achieve Bronze, Silver and Gold is still a rare event. To then all be on the same presentation at The Palace is a very rare honour indeed but one worthy of such dedication and hard work.
It took more than four years committment from these wonderful young men and women who are all a credit to their parents and The Air Training Corps and all the advantages thst being an Air Cadet can offer.
Congratulations to them all and a huge heartfelt thank you to all the volunteer staff that supported and mentored these fine young citizens and role models for the next generation.
