Carpenters Arms continues support of Soham Scouts

The Carpenter’s Arms have just presented a cheque for £900 to 2nd Soham Scout Group from proceeds of their Sunday meat draw during 2015.
The donation will be used to provide equipment and activities for the young people of the group during 2016.
Mark Clements, pictured far right said:

“On behalf of our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts I would like to say a big thank you to Matt and Alison (Landlord and Landlady) for this very generous donation and to Pat for helping to sell the draw tickets and to everyone who have brought tickets over the past 12 months you are all very special people.”

Matt and Alison are keen supporters of the local troops. They made a donation last year which enabled the groups to purchase 4 new hiking tents which have been used this weekend at the Fire & Ice camp at Toolmers camp site in Hertfordshire.
This new donation will be used to buy equipment for the younger sections (Beavers and Cubs) which will be discussed at a group committee meeting on Wednesday this week.
