Choristers set to sing their hearts out to reach out to new recruits

Ely Cathedral Choristers are set to sing to a number of audiences at concerts and services in December.

It is undoubtedly their busiest time of year with Choirs of Ely Cathedral participating in approximately 30 services, concerts and recitals in the three weeks from the Advent Procession at the beginning of the month up until Christmas Day.

In addition to the official events, the Choirs enjoy several community commitments singing Christmas carols with the residents of Littleport Grange and Bedford House in Ely.

In a bid to encourage new recruits for the Choir, Ely Cathedral is inviting children from schools across the region to find their singing voice at a event on Saturday 18 January 2020.

‘The Chorister Experience’ is a special day designed for boys in years 2 and 3, offering fun musical workshops led by vocal coaches, interactive games, and an opportunity to sing Evensong with the famous Cathedral Choir for those who would like.
