This Christmas come and shop in the fresh air at Ely Markets. There will be local produce, seasonal treats and festive cheer for all the family.
The market team has also created an inspiring online shopping guide to help you discover the perfect gift for someone special.
In addition to the weekly Thursday Charter Market, Saturday Craft, Food & Vintage Market and Sunday Market, the special festive season begins with a Vegan Pop-Up on Sunday 13th December.
This is followed on Wednesday 23rd December by a Christmas Craft, Food & Farmers’ Market with lots of seasonal produce and gifts. There will also be a Christmas Eve Market.
“Our Farmers’ Market on Saturday 12th December is a great place to shop for fresh, local produce and gorgeous seasonal gifts,” says Emma Grima, Commercial Director of East Cambs Trading Company. “Then, on 13th December we’re hosting a Vegan Pop-Up alongside our vibrant Sunday Market. This special weekend will be a lovely way to get into the festive spirit.”
The main Christmas Craft, Food & Farmers’ Market on 23rd December will showcase all the very best of local produce, meat, fish, cheese and vegan options.
Ely Markets will also be running festive mini markets in the two weeks before Christmas. These will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and will include crafts, flowers, food and gifts.
On Christmas Eve, there will be a Thursday Charter Market as usual, with lots of last-minute essentials.
“Ely Markets is here for you this Christmas,” says Emma. “We’re so pleased that we’re able to remain open and our traders are working hard to make our markets a safe and inspiring place to shop. There will be festive treats and gifts – everything from cosy knits and decorations for your home to handmade chocolates and a wreath for your front door.”
