Since last December, bar-restaurant 11a has welcomed the people of Ely for dinner and drinks in a stylish, relaxed environment. One year on and the 11a experience is being taken to another level, with the launch of the Blue Bar at 11a.
The team at 11a say ‘11a is a place for everyone. Whether you are out for drinks with friends, a meal, music and dancing or, of course, all of the above. The last year has been excellent and we’ve listened to what our customers want and that’s lead us to launch the new Blue Bar at 11a.’

Long gone are the days of a nightclub in this town-centre location, as you walk through the doors now, you’re greeted with an informal, warm, friendly and stylish venue. The perfect place to spend time with friends and to eat, drink and be merry.’
Eat
Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to go for a meal at 11a. The left of the building is an intimate dining area, serving a variety of delicious meals. The new Autumn/Winter menu launches this week and has all the favourites such as burgers, fish and chips and mac and cheese as well as some seasonal offerings like monkfish marsala, pumpkin and squash risotto and a treacle cured duck breast.
Drink
The new Blue Bar is located at the front of 11a, with comfy seating it’s the perfect setting to relax and unwind with friends. Treat yourself to a classic drink, perhaps a G&T from their excellent selection of gins or a simple, yet perfectly poured pint. If a cocktail is more your thing, then the new cocktail menu will not disappoint. As well as the old favourites and classics with an 11a twist, the expert mixologists have developed a new retro sweets range. Try a Cola Bottle or perhaps a Rhubarb and Custard!
The Blue Bar at 11a will also serve tempting bar snacks such as dirty fries, chicken wings and homemade sausage rolls; the perfect treat to accompany a cocktail. If it’s too early for a drink, you an also treat yourself to a great coffee and perhaps a slice of cake.
Be Merry
10 pm at the weekends is music time, from either the resident DJ or a live band. Chill out and soak up the vibes or let your hair down and have a dance. Larger groups can be catered for in the snug, it’s the perfect place for groups of up to 20 for a special night out and can be reserved.
The Blue Bar at 11a opens tomorrow (Friday 5th October) and will be having a launch party from 10 pm until late on Saturday 6th October. Everyone is welcome, so come along and check out the Blue Bar, enjoy a cocktail and dance the night away with music from DJ Gold.
