Elections today to choose North Ward councillor for Ely

Elections are taking place today to select a candidate for Ely’s North Ward.

Polling stations are open until 10pm at three locations.

The four candidates battling it out for the parish council role are Mark Cooney (Spotted in Ely), Richard Morgan (no description at time of standing), Edward Carlsson Browne (Labour Party), and John Yates (Independent).
The by-election for the City Council in Ely North ward was called after Ely businessman Simon Pittock decided to step down.
With six councillors, the North Ward is Ely’s biggest.

Ely Community Centre (Larkfields), High Barns, Ely, CB7 4SB
Portacabin in Davison Road, Davison Road, Ely, CB7 4FF
St Michael & All Angels Church, The Hamlet Chettisham, Ely, CB6 1SB
