Lucy Frazer MP took time out on Friday to visit the children at St Mary’s School in Ely to collect 2,400 green hearts!
Over four days in October,  2,400 children from 55 Church primary schools across the Diocese of Ely met up at Ely Cathedral for a day of activities and worship on the themes of care for our planet and climate change.  Each child wrote on a paper heart about the things they loved in nature and were worried about losing.  The hearts are to be sent to local MPs to encourage them in their national and international work to protect our planet.
The green hearts were the idea of the charity Christian Aid, and are part of their “Speak Up” campaign, which is exactly what the children were doing!

The hearts will be taken and presented at Westminster where they hope a new idea to inspire MPs to preserve our planet is safer and friendlier way.
