Spotted in Ely today spent some time on the phone with Lucy Frazer MP who is willing to help contact the main mobile network operators to understand why Ely is not receiving the best service it should, while other areas around us are.
6 months ago we contacted by snail mail all companies and only got one reply from EE who say they have no current plans to activate 4G or upgrade current infrastructure in our area. We hope the weight of our local MP would increase the response possibilities and better outcomes.
Having spoken to OFCOM, they cannot get involved as all operators meet the minimum requirement of supply to a percentage of the population in the UK.
This now only leaves one option, to force the operators to give the ideal service that we deserve. After all there are over 40,000 people affected by the poor coverage and the first network to upgrade may well clean up.
Lucy is willing to help but must first be able to fully identify and understand the issues in hand. She recently started campaigning for better broadband for the region and now will help try get better mobile signal.
This is not an anonymous survey and we would like to be able to contact you in the future for further questions and pass on developments. Please fill in the survey below and lets make some progress against the 4 main networks – Vodafone, EE, Three and O2.
