Ely Rotary Club Lends a Hand as Local Shop Closes Its Doors

Rotary Club of Ely

When Barry Lonsdale made the difficult decision to close his shop in Ely, he turned to the Rotary Club of Ely for support. The club stepped in without hesitation to help clear out stock and assist with the move. Members are pictured here outside the shop.

The Rotary Club of Ely is no stranger to supporting the local community. Recently, they’ve helped out at events such as the Soham Beer Festival, Eel Day and Ely Pride. Their commitment to service also extends further afield through their ongoing work with TWAM (Tools With a Mission), a project that collects tools to be refurbished and sent to communities in Africa.

The club meets on Thursday evenings and welcomes new members, speakers and volunteers who want to make a difference both locally and internationally.
