You may think that all is quiet on the Splash Pad front but we are still working hard in the background trying to get this to become a reality for the residents of Ely and beyond.
Over the past 2 months we have had face to face meetings with local Councilors to look at the land at the Hive and a meeting with the Paradise Centre Manager to see if this could be a potential site. These talks are still on-going.
On April 27th The Splash Pad for Ely group held its first AGM. At this meeting we confirmed our Constitution and agreed our Committee member roles.
We would like to introduce you to our Official Members:
Bryony Braschi is one of the founding members of the Splash Pad for Ely group and she has kindly agreed to become the Chair. She works as a Scientific Curator in Cambridge. Over the last 22 months she has gained a wealth of knowledge about Splash Pads.
Louise Kavanagh-Dixon joined recently and has kindly agreed to be the Treasurer for the group. She runs a local family run kitchen business selling and fitting kitchens based in Ely.
Angela Haylock is the Community Facilitator for the What’s Your Game Project based within the Volunteer Centre in Ely. She has been helping the group since August 2019. She has agreed to be the Secretary.
