Ely with a decisive victory over Woodbridge in nine-try romp

It took the Tigers several minutes to score their first try. Matt McCarthy found space down the blindside and touched down in the corner for a converted try. Jacob Muncey then scored a brace before half time. His first came from the back of dominant Tigers’ maul. The second came when man of the match Tom Holloway disrupted the opposition line-out throw Muncey caught it and ran in from 30 metres out, fending off several would-be defenders. Woodbridge kicked a penalty to bring the score to 15-3 at the break.

In the second half Ely broke away scoring 6 more tries to bring the final score to 53-3. With further tries from Luke Turner, McCarthy, Paul Dewey (two), Nathan Brooks and James Buckland.
