Healing in the Potter’s House Book Launch

AMIDST THE SHROUD OF GRIEF AFTER THE DEATH OF HER HUSBAND, LIZZIE HUNT FINDS HERSELF AT THE DOOR TO THE HOUSE OF THE ONE KNOWN AS THE POTTER.
In his mysterious house, each room becomes a dream-like journey through the depths of her being: from the vast, unexpected space and still waters found after the ‘grief rooms’ to the peculiar old sports car with amber lights stored in the garage. As the Potter unveils profound truths and tender lessons, Lizzie discovers the Father’s boundless kindness and unwavering love. Through a tapestry of metaphors and ethereal encounters, she embarks on a healing journey, accompanied by the Potter, the Prince of Peace and the steadfast Friend who is always with her. Lizzie learns that healing is not merely a destination, but an intimate relationship with the Most High.
Lizzie Hunt describes herself as “an astonished author” and her writing style reflects this wide-eyed wonder as the story unfolds. Following the death of her husband in 2021, she was surprised to discover a gift for allegorical storytelling while she navigated the complex paradoxes of faith and loss.
In her first book, Healing in the Potter’s House, she describes an imaginary visit to heaven, where she experiences the genuine comfort of the Holy Spirit as she explores her bewildered grief in the context of the scriptural truths she has embraced from childhood. Her host, the Potter, interprets many of the pictures and scenes she encounters in her journey through the house, but what will she do with the many unanswered questions?
Lizzie has lived in Cambridgeshire, England, for most of her life. She has a son and daughter, both married, and twin granddaughters. A retired speech and language therapist and missionary, she is very active in her local church, with speaking engagements at home and abroad. She enjoys reading, music, walking and talking with friends, “especially the Holy Spirit”.
