Father Christmas to Visit Ely Museum

Ely Museum to welcome Father Christmas and his elves back to the museum!

Ely Museum is delighted that our much loved, traditional Father Christmas Grotto is returning to the museum again this year!
We look forward to welcoming Father Christmas to our beautiful Aedwen Room at the museum, a space created during our redevelopment, and we’re sure his elves will enjoy exploring our fantastic new, interactive exhibitions too.

We have an excellent weekend planned & we are looking forward to welcoming the children of Ely back to meet Father Christmas. Children will be able to meet Father Christmas, share their wish-lists and receive a special gift too, thanks to the generous elves at the City Cycle Centre.

There will also be a special elf trail to explore the museum with and a tombola try your luck on throughout the weekend!

Emily Allen, Community Engagement Officer at Ely Museum said; “After what has been a difficult year for many, we hope that a visit to Father Christmas at the museum will be the perfect kick start to the festive season! Alongside meeting the main man, there will be lots of fun to enjoy on the day too. We trust that everyone has been on their best behaviour for Father Christmas and are excited to share their Christmas wish lists with him!”

The grotto takes place on Saturday 10th December and Sunday 11th December, between 10:30am – 1pm and from 1:30pm – 4pm. There is no need to book, tickets are £5 per child and are sold on the door.
