FESTIVE EVENTS COMING SOON AT ELY MUSEUM

Father Christmas himself is visiting Ely Museum on 7th and 8th December

As the nights draw in and the winter chill enters the air, there’s plenty of festive fun to be had at Ely
Museum. From a Christmas trail around the museum and a traditional visit from Father Christmas
himself, there are a jolly good few reasons to visit the museum this winter.
For those on a general visit, the museum will be decked out in festive cheer and there is a special
Christmas trail around the museum from 7 December until we close for the Christmas break on
Sunday 22 December.
On Friday 13 December, our Little Explorers session for under 5s will have a festive makeover. Our
Little Explorer mornings are a workshop for accompanied pre-school children held monthly at the
museum. Join us for creative sessions of themed activities, crafts, stories and songs. Enrich your day
with opportunities for social interaction, development of fine motor skills and imaginative play.
Tickets, which should be pre-booked online, are £3.50 for children. The session takes place on the
third Friday of the month, and runs from 10am – 12pm.
Children must be accompanied throughout. Accompanying adults must have a museum annual pass
or purchase an admission ticket.
Then, the highlight of our Christmas season, Father Christmas will be visiting Ely Museum on
Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December, from 10.30am – 1pm and 1.30pm – 4pm. Tickets do not
need to be pre-booked and can be bought on arrival. Each child costs £5 and accompanying adults
are free. Come along and meet our traditional Father Christmas and soak up some of the Christmas
spirit on a fun family-friendly weekend hosted with the support of the magic elves at City Cycle
Centre.

The Christmas Trail will be available from Saturday 7 December to Sunday 22 December 2024.

The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday, 10.30am – 5pm and Sundays, 12pm – 5pm.
The museum will be closed Monday 23 December 2024 – Wednesday 1 January 2025.
