Residents who have fibromyalgia need no longer suffer in silence. A new support group has been set up to help local sufferers connect with each other.
Maria Stableford is the administrator of the Facebook page Fibromyalgia Ely & Surrounding Villages Coffee Group.
The informal group, created this month, aims to help people who suffer from the painful condition to connect with each other, meet up for coffee and get advice and support.
Also called fibromyalgia syndrome, fibromyalgia is a long-term condition that causes pain throughout the body.
Other possible symptoms include fatigue, muscle stiffness, sleeping difficulties, headaches, stomach pain and bloating and problems with memory and concentration.
