Most parents in Ely whose children were born at Addenbrookes will know how amazing the Rosie is, the hospitals’ maternity unit. This certainly was the case for Ely City Foot Club manager and his wife.
Brady Stone and wife, Jodie gave birth to a little girl, Maiah who was 7 weeks premature and was looked after in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Rosie.
As a show of appreciation, Jodie’s family have been doing a number of fundraising events with every penny being donated to the unit and this weekend, Saturday 13th May, hosts four 7-a-side teams in a mini tournament at The Unwin Ground, home of Ely City FC.
Starting at noon, Brady has arranged for 4 teams, Ely City FC, Ely City FC Over 30’s, Brady’s All Stars and Greig and Mills Brickworks to compete in a half pitch tournament and the bar will be open with a BBQ and raffle to add to the funds.
