Little Thetford Acorns, a beloved pre-school at the heart of our community, has embarked on a mission to restore and revitalise its educational facilities. With nearly 50 years of dedicated service, Little Thetford Acorns has long been the foundation where children in our community take their first steps towards a bright future. Today, they are reaching out to friends, families, neighbours, and businesses, near and far, for support in ensuring the continued growth of this vital educational resource.

In its role as a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment, Little Thetford Acorns has played a pivotal part in fostering a love for learning, social interaction, and creativity in the formative years of countless children in the Ely area. Their dedicated staff are committed to these principles and have exciting plans for the pre-school, including enhancing the outdoor space, introducing a new sensory nature garden and continuing a strong focus on Forest School learning, as well as rejuvenating their indoor facilities.

However, they need help to ensure that Little Thetford Acorns continues to thrive. The pre-school has faced unprecedented challenges in recent years, from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. Coupled with continued underfunding from the government, these challenges have stretched their resources to the limit.
