Christmas came early to eleven local organisations last week, when Good Vibes Local (GVL), the Trustees responsible for managing Spotted in Ely and Ely Radio, chose the recipients of their Great Little Giveaway.
Back in November, GVL promoted its Giveaway of £100 to ten different organisations that met its criteria.
Applications were accepted throughout November and the Trustees had to decide who would receive the funds. It was such a difficult decision that they decided to award all eleven instead of just ten!
Acting Chair, Andy Pearson, said, “Reading the applications, and seeing how much small local organisations do within our community is fantastic”.
Director, Alison Cooney said, “This just reduced me to tears! Happy tears, that we are helping so many people and amazing organisations! “
The Trustees are delighted to announce the successful applicants as:
Branching Out, Littleport
Supporters of Highfield Littleport Academy
Little Downham Cemetery Committee
The Expert on Myself
Ely Outdoor Sports Association
Highfield Parents & Friends Association, Ely
Ely Armed Forces and Veterans Drop in Centre
Spotted in Ely will be showcasing each of the winners in the New Year, so watch out for them on our social media pages. You never know you may also be able to help one of them in the future.
