Good Vibes Local £100 donation to Branching Out
Branching Out is a Littleport-based charity that supports adults with learning disabilities in a variety of fun work experience and social activities.
Their high-quality support staff team encourage people to overcome difficulties and achieve in everyday life. The adults supported by Branching Out attend a day centre which is open Monday to Friday, and they are supported by the staff to engage in various activities such as: Woodwork, painting, crafts, gardening, cooking, upcycling, games, quizzes, parties, helping in the charity shop, and running errands in the local community.
As a result of Good Vibes Local’s £100 donation, Branching Out have been able to invest in some new craft supplies which helped our service users create paper crowns for the upcoming coronation celebrations, this was a fun craft activity enjoyed by all!
The funds also helped secure a new plant trolley for displaying plants and flowers for sale. Our horticultural stock is all planted, watered, and cared for by our service users in preparation for sale and the money re-invested into the charity. Finally, the funds helped secure a card display unit for displaying cards that our service users have hand-made for all occasions. We welcome members of the public to visit our site, which has a small shop in reception where handmade items (as well as plants) can be purchased!
