Just a quick note from Ely Outdoor Sports Association (EOSA) to thank you for the grant you gave us.
As a result we have been able to purchase some plastic reusable pint glasses carrying the Eosa and Ely Radio logos.
As the home of rugby, hockey and tennis in Ely and as a sports venue also offering football and other sports for all ages from 5yo, we understand the dangers of glass from bottles and glasses to our participants and guests.
Having a balcony for supporters to watch particularly rugby, with a drink in hand just adds to the issues we have to consider.
We are also keen to reduce our environmental footprint, and have instigated better waste management processes across the site, removed certain products from the bar, and we avoid the use of disposable items as much as possible.
With that in mind the opportunity to produce branded plastic reusable ‘glasses’, charging a deposit for their return, rather than using single use plastic, has given us an excellent opportunity to support our strategy and manage our risks.
And to be able to do so in partnership with Spotted in Ely Radio is something we are delighted to be able to do.
Thank you for your continued support.
