Students and staff at our local Special school – Highfield Ely Academy, were thrilled to receive £100 from Good Vibes Local CIC.
The donation went towards buying a hand-washing sink at their on-site farm, Muddy Boots Farm.
The farm houses four goats, five chickens, three rabbits, two Guinea pigs and has a new pond area too.
Some older students at Highfield Ely follow an Animal Care qualification, but learners from across the school, with a wide range of needs, benefit from spending time with and looking after the animals.
