Hereward Rotary club donates £1935 to Ely charity

The Ely Hereward Rotary Club celebrated its 14th Charter Night with more than 50 members, partners, and guests at the Almonry in Ely last Friday.
The Guest Speaker was John Elworthy, editor of the Ely Standard, who gave a passionate, interesting, and informative speech about the need for a strong local press.
As a highlight to the evening the club presented a cheque for £1750 to Linda Neate from Pos+Ability – one of this year’s chosen charities – along with a further £185 raised on the night from raffling a giant Easter egg.
