KD Theatre Productions are delighted to be returning to the beautiful grounds of ‘The Dean’s Garden’ Ely Cathedral for their open-air production of the Olivier Award Winning family musical ‘HONK!’ by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
The musical which will be directed and choreographed by Daniel Bell and Katherine Hickmott will be performed against the stunning backdrop of Ely’s most iconic landmark, Ely Cathedral. Casting to be announced.
Katherine and Daniel said in a joint statement, ‘We are thrilled to be returning to one of Ely’s hidden gems – our very own secret garden, to perform this fantastic musical which is full of clever, inspiring songs, larger than life characters and a whole lot of heart! Throughout the past year, we’ve done everything we can to continue entertaining our audiences, and to welcome them back safely outdoors this summer in such a stunning environment means the world to us!’
Jocelyn Palmer, Events Manager at Ely Cathedral said ‘We are delighted to host KD Theatre and their production of Honk! in the stunning gardens of the Deanery at Ely Cathedral. We have worked with KD Theatre in the past and really look forward to enjoying and sharing another evening of entertainment’
The musical will run from the 20th – 25th July 2021 in The Deans Garden, Ely Cathedral. The gates will open one hour prior to each performance for audience members to bring picnics and enjoy the surroundings of the garden.
The show will also play Peterborough Cathedral on the 7th August 2021.
