We are looking for an enthusiastic and effective Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and IT tasks within the small but busy Environmental Services (Domestic) Team. Duties of the Administrative Officer include providing support to the Manager and Officers within the Team who deal with a wide range of Environmental issues including Statutory Nuisance, Private Sector Housing Complaints and Environmental Crime.
The role will require you to undertake daily office tasks and manage general administrative activities including maintaining specific databases and filing systems and registers, assisting in the preparation of statistical returns, keeping records of the Teams statutory consultation responses, freedom of information requests, responding to specific customer enquiries, and also the accurate processing of invoices and accounts through close liaison with Finance and other Departments. Previous use of the Council’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and IDOX Uniform data bases would be an advantage.
This is a job share opportunity for 18.5 hrs per week, working on a pattern of 2 days (15 hrs) one week then followed by 3 days (22hrs) on the next week. Ideally these days would be every Thursday and Friday with alternate Wednesdays, but applications will also be considered for alternative arrangements.
