We are seeking an enthusiastic, effective Administrative Officer to perform a variety of administrative and IT tasks within the council’s Environmental Health Team.
Duties of the role include providing support to the manager and officers within the team who deal with a wide range of environmental issues including Statutory Nuisance, Private Sector Housing Complaints and Environmental Crime.
The role will require you to undertake daily office tasks and manage general administrative activities including maintaining specific databases and filing systems and registers, assisting in the preparation of statistical returns, keeping records of the team’s statutory consultation responses, freedom of information requests, and responding to specific customer enquiries. The post also covers the accurate processing of invoices and accounts through close liaison with Finance and other departments.
Previous use of the council’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and IDOX Uniform databases would be an advantage as the post holder will eventually be required to support the team as a super user of the IDOX Uniform system, for which full training will be provided.
