Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure that all work is completed to the highest of standards. The Carpenter will be responsible for various additional tasks, including joinery, masonry, painting and more, contributing to both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble stud work, roof trusses, doors, windows, kitchens and bathrooms.
Perform joinery tasks with precision to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
Carry out painting duties to enhance the appearance of finished products.
Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as needed on site.
Assisting other trades onsite to progress jobs as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience as a Carpenter or a recognised qualification is preferred.
Familiarity with various carpentry techniques and materials.
Ability to read plans and technical drawings accurately.
Experience with heavy lifting and physical stamina for demanding tasks.
Knowledge of safety practices related to construction sites is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
Some knowledge of other trades and task would be beneficial.
