Site Officer Vacancy
Salary range £20,092 to £21,748 points 7 to 11 depending on skills and experience
Permanent position (52 weeks per year) – 37 hours per week
Working hours include a morning and afternoon shift – 6.30am – 8.30am & 12.45 pm – 6.00pm with 3/4 hour for a potential late lockup.
Flexibility in working hours is required to support the school with activities, lettings and any site issues and will involve an element of out of hours work including evenings and weekends.
All holiday entitlement will need to be taken during the school holiday periods.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Site Officer to join fantastic caring team at Rackham Primary School. We are a warm and welcoming rural school in East Cambridgeshire with approximately 303 children in 11 classes. Our children are friendly and enjoy learning.
The school caretaker can often be the first point of call for visitors to the school, parents, staff and children. As one of the ‘faces’ of the school the caretaker should be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner.
The role includes: –
- Caring for the school building, furniture, fittings and equipment.
- Ensuring a high-quality physical environment.
- Carrying out a full range of duties to provide exacting standards of cleanliness, general security and maintenance.
- Cleaning, handyperson activities and supervision of school cleaning staff.
- Key holder for the school site
- Porterage duties
- Health and Safety around the school site
