In this post you will provide a full range of technical and administrative services to the Planning Team to facilitate the efficient and timely processing of planning and other development control applications.

You will provide support by maintaining IT and other record systems and act as second-line technical support for enquiries that have been passed through by Customer Services. With strong customer service skills, you will advise and resolve enquiries in line with relevant legislation and Council policies and procedures.

You will liaise with the applicants or their agent regarding submitted planning applications and provide support to officers and customers. You will be responsible for maintaining departmental records in order to provide statistical information for monitoring/research purposes.

You will need to have 3 GCSEs (including English and Maths), effective communication, administrative, organisational and time/workload management skills and be able to demonstrate relevant experience within a customer service environment.
