Junior Cycling Sessions Return to a New Home in Witchford

Ely & District Cycling Club is bringing back its popular and much-loved junior Monday night cycling sessions, now at a new home, the tennis courts at Witchford Village College (CB6 2JA).

From Monday 8 September, young riders aged 5–16 can come along every Monday evening during term time, 6:30–7:30pm. The sessions are open to all abilities, whether children are just starting out or already building skills for competitive cycling.

Each week, British Cycling qualified coaches, all DBS checked, will help riders develop bike handling, balance, and confidence in a safe and supportive setting. The first session is free and after that, there is a £5 pay-as-you-go fee. All children need is the ability to cycle independently and the enthusiasm to give it a try.

“Our junior sessions are a brilliant way for children to get active, learn skills and enjoy cycling in a safe environment,” said coach Neil Bowman. “We’re really looking forward to welcoming both new and returning riders to our new base in Witchford.”

Parents can register online at www.elycyclingclub.com/juniors or email Neil & Mark at elydistrictcc@gmail.com. Families are also encouraged to join the Ely & District Cycling Club Juniors Facebook group to keep up to date with news and events.

The junior programme is proudly supported by B & T Motor Repairs.
