Haddenham Arts Centre in collaboration with Re-imagine Resource Centre bring you our Christmas Kindness Cabin. A magical place where you can give to the community by donating a small gift, a toy, a pudding or a Christmas treat for Ely Food Bank as there is no payment required to visit.
Walk around Mother Nature’s Magical Eco-grotto where everything is made from rescued resources on a discovery mission to find out how we can do more to help protect our beautiful planet.
Revered and personified as a deity or goddess, Mother Earth has many names and faces. The underlying belief is that earth is a life-giving and nurturing motherly entity. No matter how we refer to her, there is little question that universally and throughout time we humans have relied and continue to rely on our planet earth mother and that we need to appreciate her and offer gratitude for all that we receive from the land and nature. Beyond mere appreciation, we need to care for her, keep her clean and nourished.
We know that Christmas doesn’t have to be a burden on the planet. With a little effort and imagination, we can reduce the environmental impact of the holiday season and as the climate continues to change, millions of people face greater challenges.
Climate change is deeply intertwined with global patterns of inequality and this year by donating to the Kindness Cabin you can spread some much needed good will into our local community and learn how to do your bit to keep planet positive.
Christmas should speak to you in the way it did as a child; full of magic, wonder, and connection.
Experience an eco-grotto like no other, learn about the real gift of Christmas, snap a #soldierselfie with the giant nutcracker and join our protest for the planet by creating a mini placard at the #creationstation where we honour Mother Earth and show up for our community…..
So please bring a small gift, a pudding or a new toy to donate to Ely Foodbank and experience the magic of Mother Earth!
