Kira rehomed – after 268 days at Block Fen

RSPCA Block Fen’s longest resident has finally gone to her “forever home”, after staying for 268 days at the Wimblingdon shelter.
On June 7, shy Kira, a har Pei cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was rehomed with her new family, much to the delight of shelter staff.
IMG_4270IMG_4279Deputy manager Kirstyn Gaunt said Kira was initially transported to Block Fen by an RSPCA inspector from the London area in September 2015.
She captured the hearts of the staff. They worked very hard with Kira as she was very timid when she first arrived.”
The shelter received regular updates from her new family who “were very excited to get her home.
“Kira is just one of the numerous animals that we see here at Block Fen. Each has its own story to tell and we endeavour to find each and every one their perfect home.”
Another long stay resident pooch, Buddy, was also rehomed last week, after spending one week shy of a year at Block Fen.
