Little Thetford Acorns Pre-School is celebrating after being awarded a ‘top level Good’ in its recent
Ofsted inspection carried out in September.
The pre-school, which is open to all local 2 to 5 year olds and based in the heart of Little Thetford village,
was highly praised by Ofsted inspector, Tracey Dawson, for offering families “a calm, friendly, clean and well-resourced pre-school where dedicated and well-trained staff, led by a passionate manager,
work effectively to achieve positive developmental outcomes for the children; encouraging the
childrens’ self-help, practical and imaginative skills as well as helping develop key areas including
language and numeracy.”
“Children are successfully acquiring the skills they need to move onto their next stage of learning or
school,” says Ms Dawson.
She went on to praise the pre-school’s indoor and outdoor spaces, the staff
who have a “good understanding of child development and, due to a rigorous recruitment process, the
team offers consistency in the care of the children”.
“We are thrilled to receive such a glowing report from Ofsted,” says the manager, Zoe Corley. “We
meet challenges head-on and work hard every day to offer the best to our children and families; the result
is a credit to the hard work and commitment of the team and the committee.”
